At Happy Figs, just like any other independent game developer, our vision starts with humility. We look forward to the day when our first project is released and finds its way into your hands. But first, my hands and my family's :P.
Our journey started when we first laid our hands on a ZX Spectrum clone called H.C. 90 at my cousin's house. We began to dream small, fueled by the burning question lingering in the back of our heads: 'How are games made?'
It took a lot of time to get where we are today. Along the way, we worked with some major game developers, started a few projects of our own that didn't gain much traction, and faced various challenges. Despite setbacks, we've finally arrived at a point where we possess enough knowledge to build our own games with our own ideas. However, the key is to remember to keep it small.
Even as we continue working a full-time job, we understand that time is not waiting for anybody. Yet, the passion and curiosity that sparked our journey remain undiminished, propelling us forward in the exciting world of game development.
I'm the programmer, and my wife's the artist at Happy Figs. It's just the two of us making games, blending code and creativity to bring our vision to reality. Did I mention we do this while raising a small child?
